inspired by Japanese lanterns, Alkekengi is a cinetic sculpture realized fort he final assignment of my electronic class. its a flower where each petal was built with metal wire, paper mache and light clay attached to a servo-motor that moves according to a proximity captor placed directly under each leaf. the inside of the flower reveal a led panel when people come closer to is as it activates de captor sensor. The structure is also accompanied by a smaller flower that create a water mist according to the state of the main flower
I was in charge of the scenography of the whole project and the code for the water mist.
